Deddington Wildcats
Football for girls
What is Wildcats?
Wildcats is non-competitive football for girls who want to give it a go for the very first time or want to play with other girls their own age. It is a national programme supported by the Football Association and more information is here.

The focus of Wildcats is all about having loads of fun and meeting new amazing friends. Deddington Wildcats focus in the first instance was for 5-7-year olds.

Be inspired by the Lionesses! We want you to inspired by the success of the Lionesses in winning the Euros in 2022 and now looking to do well in the Euros in 2025.

Success of Deddington Wildcats and our future plans
After receiving funding from Oxfordshire FA for 2023/24 and 2024/5 we ran Wildcats for two seasons for around 20 girls each year.

We are now looking to see what we can offer for 6-8 year old girls for the 2025/6 season to join Wildcats. However, we need to recruit three coaches to enable this to happen. Information about volunteering is available from Oxfordshire FA here.

If you are interested in becoming a female football coach supported by Deddington Town Football Club, then we will support female volunteers to become football coaches and get you started on your football journey.

If we get volunteers, then we will support Wildcats to take place at the Windmill Centre in Deddington on Friday evenings between 17.30-18.30 from early August 2025 for 16 weeks. We will train on the Windmill pitches on the grass while we have the light, and then on the Windmill All Weather Court after that.
